On This Day...

I'm loving the "On this day" TimeHop feature of Facebook.  It's so fun to see pictures and memories from the last 9 years appear.  I mean, after all, we only post the good things, right?  So only the good memories are showing up.

This week has been full of memories.  I had no idea that November was such a big month for us - particularly over the last 5 years.

5 years ago this week I began working at GEM.

4 years ago this week Jordan and I were appointed by GEM to France.

4 years ago this month we left Colorado and headed east to Pennsylvania to begin support raising.

3 years ago this month, we were back in Colorado for pre-field training, begging God to provide the last of the funds we needed to move to France.

2 years ago, we were in France - and so far, nothing too significant seems to have popped up.

1 year ago this week we hosted our first English Conversation Group.  Next Saturday we'll host our 8th English Conversation Group at KféT where month after month we meet new people and have great conversations.

And this year?  This November we are heading back to Pennsylvania for a few weeks.

As we prepare to spend several weeks in the US, we have been busy wrapping things up here and scheduling visits with family, friends, churches and supporters in PA.  It's a little overwhelming, and it's left me less than inspired for blog posts.  Yet, thanks to Facebook, I'm reminded of the amazing journey we've been on over the last 5+ years.  While details may have us blinded to what God's doing here and now, I can look back and praise Him for the work He's done in the past.

I heard once:  Our hope for the future is directly correlated with our gratitude for God's provision in the past.

Today I am full of gratitude and therefore hope.

    1. Jamie, we'd love to see you and your family, but, unfortunately, this trip won't allow time for a trip to CO. We always wonder why PA and CO are so far from each other! But don't worry - next time we are in CO you guys will be some of the first to know. Love you guys!
