Pre-Field Training, Here we Come!

One year ago today Jordan, my mom, my brother, and I packed every spare centimeter of our two vehicles with our earthly belongings in Colorado and drove across I-70 for 2 days to move us to Pennsylvania.

In 6 days, on November 26, Jordan and I will return to Colorado, likely for the last time before we move to France.  Instead of packing our two cars (especially since we only own one now) full of our stuff, we will simply pack a few suitcases; instead of driving for 2 days across the boring Interstate 70, we will spend just a few hours on a flight.  Our purpose?  Pre-field training at Mission Training International (MTI).

We do not know a lot about pre-field training except that it is an intense time of spiritual, cross-cultural, and practical preparation for people moving overseas as missionaries.  We will have personal coaches and interact with dozens of people preparing to move all over the world.  It's an exciting step in the overall process of us moving to France!

Will you please pray for us while we are at pre-field training (November 26-December 14)?

Pre-field training will likely be exhausting, challenging, hard, emotional - and motivating, insightful, and encouraging.  We know that the Enemy is not pleased that we are praying against His strong-holds in France and around the world, and we know that he will do all he can to discourage us and prevent us from taking the Good News of Jesus's salvation to the nations.

Please pray for:
  • Our health
  • Our marriage
  • Our minds
  • New relationships that will be formed
  • Stamina and Energy
  • Our families and supporters
  • Micah and Andrea Heath (GEM France teammates moving to Grenoble - an hour from Aix - and also attending pre-field with us)
  • More monthly support (so that we can depart for France early next year!)
