Yesterday, we finished Candidate Orientation at GEM. It was a great week where we heard other people's stories, learned about spiritual warfare (and experienced it), were challenged to share our faith with our community, and prepared to find a support team for the ministry God had called us to.

On Thursday, we were officially appointed and immediately accepted. We signed on the dotted line.

Yesterday, we concluded our week with a commissioning service at a local church. We worshiped, took communion, and prayed together. It was a special service for Kate and me. It was really a marker in our story as God has been calling us. It was especially significant to have my uncle Dane join us for the ceremony, as he has been a key figure in our story.

It was such an encouraging week, as we developed relationships with other couples and individuals that God is also calling to Europe. It's amazing to hear how God has so clearly and beautifully worked in people's lives.

We are anxious and excited as we prepare to move back to PA and continue to find people to join our team in ministry.
