MusiMud

Remember how it was raining and raining and raining?

I was determined to be like the persistent widow.  I was going to pray and ask God to stop the rain; I was going to ask until He answered.

And He did respond!

Rather than a music festival in the lake, Musilac was a festival in the mud.

We've never seen so much mud in our lives, but that didn't stop this festival!

Jordan, Annaelle, and I spent hours and hours on our feet - but we were dry!

We directed traffic....

....handed out fliers....

....cleaned up trash....

....welcomed people to the festival....

....and [attempted] to answer their questions....

We were so thankful for our office space (directly across from the festival)
where we worshipped and prayed together before heading out...

...and where we could crash between our late night shifts....

We even got to enjoy some of the concerts.

28,000 people from all over France came for the concerts each night.  While it's a Woodstock-like atmosphere to an extent, Musilac is also known for being a family-friendly environment.

We thank God for the opportunity that we had to serve, for the lack of rain during our time of service, for protecting us and the other volunteers, and for the conversations we were able to have.  May He continue to water and grow the seeds that were planted!
