What is Happening?

We've been a bit MIA in the blog world.
Call it business, call it having two kids, call it writers block; whatever it may be, it's time for an update on life's happenings.

The month of March was full of visitors meeting Elias....
grandparents, aunts and uncles, and friends who are like family.

We (i.e. Jordan) spoke during 3 services at one of our supporting churches, First Church in Williamsport.

April brought more visitors and our first overnight trips.

It was special to celebrate Easter with Jordan's parents, grandma, some aunts and an uncle.

We stayed with Jordan's sister and her family (of which we apparently have no photos) for a long weekend, allowing us to meet up with some other friends and supporters as well as to share during the Sunday worship service at Grace Baptist Church of Millersville where our good friends and teammates from Aix, Steve and Donna Niles, were visiting.

We met my parents and sister in State College for the day, about an hour from our house in Williamsport - it was fun to be back on campus 8 years after graduating!

Our dear friends came to visit for a day, too.

At the end of April we took another trip, this time to western PA to introduce Elias to extended family, thank some of our supporters, and speak at another supporting church, New Covenant EPC.

It was so great to have an opportunity to visit a little bit and share an update face to face with those of you who have been so faithful to support us financially - and prayerfully - over the last 5+ years!

Jordan also completed his first semester of seminary at the end of April.  He is not continuing this summer as we need to really spend time focusing on raising more support for us to return to France in January 2019.  If finances allow, he plans to continue classes in the fall.

We returned home to Williamsport on May 1 and hit the road again, unexpectedly, on May 3.  We had planned to visit the Raleigh, NC area at the end of May, but a medical emergency in our sister-in-law's family brought us south sooner than expected.  We are so thankful for the opportunity we had to serve their family in a time of crisis and spend some one-on-one time with our nephew!

For the last 2 weeks we've been staying with my aunt and uncle - they are such a blessing!  Their house has been a great base for us to serve our sister-in-law's family, as well as to see several other monthly supporters, my sister, and friends from college who now live in the area.

My aunt and uncle also know how to make us feel loved as we celebrated our birthdays!

It's been a FULL few months!  Jordan has been mainly focused on his seminary classes and sharing with churches; I considered March my time of maternity leave and even now spend most of my time being Mom (hence so few blog posts!).

Our year of HMA in the US is meant to focus on reconnecting with supporters, family, and friends; raising more support to return to France (we're in need of $2000 in new monthly pledges); training (Jordan's online seminary classes); and rest. We continue to pray about where God would have us move in January.

With two kids under 2 we are finding it challenging to plan more than a few days or weeks at a time, but we hope to schedule more trips to see supporters in CO, TN and the northeast soon as support raising needs to become our highest priority if we want to return to France in 7 months!
