Calling the Children

When I was 9 years old, I remember sitting in the back of my church listening to a missionary nurse from Burkina Faso.  I can't tell you what she said, but I remember at that moment having a strong sense of Someday I'm going to be like her.

That's probably why I started at Penn State as a nursing major; fortunately that only lasted for a semester.

Last week, Jordan and I shared with the AWANA kids at our sending church, Bethel EPC.  Many of them are around the same age as I was when I first started thinking about missions; we pray that those kids heard the Gospel and began considering their role in taking the Good News to the nations.
