ReplyDeleteThat happened to me a lot in Northern Africa. I had several conversations where they spoke french to me and I had to reply in Arabic.
So true! Though I'm impressed that you were able to reply in Arabic! We are definitely at a place in our language learning where we understand WAY more than what we can speak. C'est la vie!
