4th of July - French Style

Our wonderful family (who we lived with for 5 weeks when we first arrived in France) invited us to their house for a BBQ on the 4th of July.  We were pleasantly surprised by the elaborate decorations and festive red, white, and blue clothing!

Besides, who doesn't like a good burger?

We had delicious Rhubarb Pie for dessert! 

It was a really great evening with our dear friends - 5 Americans (including us) and 7 French who can appreciate aspects of our culture and celebrate with us.

 The only thing missing was the fireworks - we'll have to wait for Bastille Day on the 14th of July for those - but we had illuminated starts that were pretty!
