Answered Prayers

For 16 months Jordan and I pursued ministry in France.  Now we are here.

For years they prayed about having another baby.  In December 2011 we met them and learned their story - a story of a still-born baby girl; a story of deep pain; a story of deep longing for another baby in their family.  A few months later we rejoiced with the news of their pregnancy and prayed with them over the next 9 months for a healthy delivery.  Now we've met 5 month old Aimée and held her in our arms.

For weeks and weeks they prayed for a home with a yard close to a Paris metro stop that would be large enough to fit their family of 7 yet be within their small budget.  On Thursday the GEM France team gathered for a Day of Prayer in their 6 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home that also includes a yard, garage, and separate studio apartment within walking distance of several metro and bus stops.

This week Jordan and I visited Chantilly, a small city just north of Paris.  (After all, it had been nearly 2 weeks since we'd packed our suitcases, so it was time.)   Our purpose:  On-Field Orientation.  What I walked away with:  God answers prayers.  He is faithful.  He knows the desires of our hearts and delights in lavishing gifts upon us.
