"Half Way There and Livin' on a Prayer"

Whooah, we're half way there!
Whooah! Livin' on a prayer.
Take my hand and we'll make it, I swear.
Whooah, Livin on a prayer!

WE HAVE 53% OF OUR MONTHLY SUPPORT!
We are half way there, and we are living on prayer.  And we WILL make it [to France] but we need others to partner with us in order to do so.

So here's the update and where this puts us:  We currently have 53% of our monthly support committed.  Our next goal is to reach 80%.  This is HUGE because once we have 80% of our monthly support pledged, we can attend pre-field training in North Carolina.  Pre-field training is 6 weeks of intensive spiritual, cross-cultural, and language aquisition preparation - it's the last major step before we move to Europe.

If we have 80% of our monthly support committed in the next 2-3 weeks we may be able to attend pre-field training beginning September 16 and will likely be able to depart for France by the end of the year.

If we do not have 80% by mid-August, we will not be able to attend pre-field training in September, and we will have to wait until February (when the next class is offered) which likely means we will not be able to leave for France until Summer 2013.

This is urgent.

What do we need to get to 80%?  Only $1,855/month.  Only 10 people need to commit $185/month.  Or 21 people could commit $90/month.  Or 50 people could give $47/month.  It's up to the Holy Spirit to move in peoples hearts to give and to partner with us, but our fear is that many say, "I can't give $1,855/month, so I guess they don't need me...anything I can give is just a small drop in the bucket."  Our response:  Every small drop helps fill the bucket.

We are praying for God to speak clearly to people about us.  Will you join us in praying?
