Happenings around France
We wanted to share some of the updates we've been hearing from our teammates around France. Please be encouraged by these things and pray for them!
It's obvious that God is working in France through both the American missionaries and the French nationals. We've been told that He's moving in ways now that He wasn't even 10 years ago. It's exciting! The gospel is a novelty; people are hearing Truth for the first time. Pray that God would continue to move and that France would have a spiritual revival.
- A former gangster shared at a church outside of Paris last weekend and 8 people asked the Lord to come into their lives as a result of his testimony!
- A TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) team arriving in the Paris area this weekend and classes start on Monday (July 2). 70 students have signed up!
- Several people are enthusiastic about having Discipleship Multiplication Training in France! This will take a lot of logistical and translation work, but it's exciting to see like-mindedness, especially from French nationals.
- New French Christians in several areas of the country are sharing their faith with their friends and family; disciples are being multiplied!
- 250 men, women, and children attended a BBQ outreach held in an immigrant neighborhood (pictured below) last Sunday.
- One missionary couple is overwhelmed with the initiatives for French people in their area, and they are wondering if God is changing their call from the English community to the French.
- Several churches have had baptism services recently. At one service, even a missionary's daughter was baptized.
- 2 of the GEM Missionary Kids have shared their faith with some of their friends from school, and they've had positive responses.
- Christ is being preached more consistently than ever in a church in Southern France!
- 8 "seekers" are currently involved in a new church plant. God is moving in their lives and slowly drawing them to Himself!
