One for Ten Thousand
In the United States, there is one evangelical church for every 1,039 people (resource). In France, there is one evangelical church for every 31,281 people (resource).
Right now, there are cities and villages where people cannot hear the Gospel because there is no one to share it. One group in France has the goal of one church for every 10,000 people (resource). They want every French person to have an opportunity to hear the Gospel. I'm not saying that every church preaches the Gospel. But how will people know if they don't hear? Kate and I would like to be sowers. We don't want to just watch the flowers grow. We want to get our hands dirty and sow seeds.
Kate and I were doing some yard work the other day, and I was reminded of what our ministry might look like in France. I was raking an area with lots of seed pods. It created huge piles (like the U.S.). Kate was raking an area with fewer seed pods that were further spread apart (like France).
United States (many believers)

There might be less fruit as we sow seeds--as we share the Gospel in France than there might be in the U.S. But that is up to God to grow the seeds. I pray that we would be bold enough to plant seeds. I pray that you would too.
