100 Days and Counting?!!
I woke up this morning thinking "Wow; it's March 2!" Why is it so impressive? Because if we are going to move to France when we'd like (I know, I know, that's a whole other conversation about our timing versus God's....), then we potentially have 100 days left in the United States.
100.
ONE HUNDRED DAYS.
UN CENT.
We've been in this process for 120 days. Now we have about 100 days left.
That puts things into perspective, doesn't it?
We are half way.
We are half way!
Left to do in the next 100 days?
- Raise 75% of our necessary support (55% of which we need in the next 3 weeks).
- Attend Pre-Field Training.
- Meet with lots of old and new friends.
- Learn more French.
- Apply for Visas.
- Find an apartment in Aix-les-Bains.
- Finish reading through the Bible.
- Attend several weddings.
- Sell my car.
- Pack our stuff and determine what is going to France, what is being left in the US, and what is being given away.
I am overwhelmed. Overwhelmed with joy and anticipation. Overwhelmed with the numbers that are indicated by the 75% of our support that is still needed. Overwhelmed by the blessings that come through those who have already partnered with us financially. Overwhelmed with gratitude that my dream of living overseas for a time is actually happening. Overwhelmed by the information that we do not yet know. Overwhelmed with humility that our God, the perfect God and Creator of the universe would use us, broken and sinful people, to bring His name to a dark corner of the world. Overwhelmed with the sense of urgency - to share our story with individuals, to raise support, to mentally and spiritually prepare for France, and to share the Gospel. I am overwhelmed.
