Jesus, the Man who was God

"For 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed?
And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?"

Did you know that less than 2% of the people in France have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?  Historically, the people of France knew Jesus; now that's all it is - history.  And many of those now living in France do not even know His NameChristianity is a novelty to the French.  Can you believe that?

French author Max Gallo recently wrote a book called Jésus, l'homme qui était Dieu [Jesus, the Man who was God].  From my understanding, it is a fiction novel from the perspective of a Roman centurion who witnessed Christ's death.  He cannot ignore the nagging question:  What if this Jesus really was the Son of God.  And so the novel goes - as the centruion fulfills his responsibily in monitoring the disciples and followers of Jesus, he goes through a brief and intense journey of Jesus' 33 years on earth.  This is not a Christian book - it is simply a man's search for Truth (author Max Gallo's search, I suppose, in the form of a Roman centurion).

"And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
And how are they to preach unless they are sent?"
As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!'”

Romans 10:13-15.  We must go.
