Aix-les-Bains

We had a good day today with Thierry and his family near Aix-les-bains. We then met up with Steve and Donna in Aix-les-Bains and explored the town a little bit. It is a cool town. Pretty busy with tourism they say during the summer. We woke up this morning and saw the snow-covered mountains out our bedroom window. The sunny drive into Aix reminded us of Colorado.

Our time here so far has been good. We have been learning about French people and culture. We have had some good chances to ask several people questions about missions, church-planting, and France. We are excited to serve God and see how He leads us in France.

The idea of doing ministry in France is becoming more of a reality each day. So is the idea of speaking French. Though we haven't had any chances where we have really HAD to speak French, I have used it in train stations, on trains, and in a few conversations. It will be fun to be bilingual, but I'm sure the process of leaning French will be difficult.

We look forward to the rest of our trip and pray that God will speak clearly as to where He wants us.
