Floods, Crepes, and Ministry Partners
We had planned to host the French Dessert night in the GEM Cafe, but with 3 inches of water through the entire downstairs of our office due to a burst pipe (How many centimeters is that? I should probably learn the metric system before moving to Europe....), all of the not-so-wet boxes and furniture from the storage room in the basement had to be moved to this room. There was no way we'd be able to host our event there.
Plan B: GEM's lobby and conference room.
It wasn't how I'd originally imagined it, but it was wonderful!
As of Friday morning, we were expecting about 20 people. By noon we had 29 confirmed guests. By 7pm we had over 35 people tightly gathered in the lobby of the GEM office enjoying crepes filled with nutella, strawberries, blueberries, rasberries, bananas, powder sugar and whipped cream.
Thank you, to those of you who drove to Monument to hear our story and share in our ministry!
Jordan and I took turns sharing parts of our journey - how we met, how we landed in Colorado, and how the Lord is leading us away and to France. We shared the vision of GEM to see God expand His Kingdom through all the peoples of Europe to the world and our mission to disciple all peoples of Europe through rapidly reproducing churches.
And we shared our need for Ministry Partners.
While God does not call all people to be missionaries in the formal sense, He has given us ALL the great commission of going and making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20). Jordan and I have accepted His call to go in the formal sense, and we need others to accept His call and join us. Join us in prayer. Join us with your finances. And perhaps God will even have you join us in France.
How will you join us?
Before the evening finished, all 35 people surrounded Jordan and me, laid hands upon us, and prayed. I felt so incredibly blessed. We are not in this alone; God is stirring peoples' hearts - He's stirring your heart. His Kingdom will come.

Jordan made the crepes from scratch - they were delicious!
